Marit Stiles is a long-time community activist, and served as the MPP for Davenport since 2018. Marit was also the Toronto District School Board Trustee for Davenport from 2014-2018.
Prior to that, she fought to strengthen Canada’s arts and culture sector and stood up for culture-sector workers as the National Director of Public Policy and Research for ACTRA.
A passionate advocate for public education, Marit is committed to ensuring local schools have the resources they need to foster strong communities and help students succeed. Since 2018, she has led the fight against Doug Ford’s cuts to education as the Official Opposition Critic for Education.
Marit and her partner, Jordan, have raised their daughters Mahala and Lila in Davenport.
