“Do they have any shame”: Stiles responds to Ford’s team voting down universal mental health access

QUEEN’S PARK – Marit Stiles, Leader of the Ontario NDP, released the following statement after Ford voted down the NDP’s motion to deliver mental health care at no cost to everyone across the province:

“Ford’s team just voted down universal mental health access – do they have any shame?

We’re seeing community health providers on the brink of collapse, and people enduring long wait times across the province for basic mental health services. Our motion today declared a simple truth: that mental health care is health care.

How can anyone disagree with that?”
