STILES: Heartless and bizarre comments from Ford attack vulnerable Ontarians

QUEEN’S PARK – Marit Stiles, Ontario NDP leader calls out Doug Ford’s ridiculous tangent attacking province’s homeless population, and vulnerable seniors:

“Housing is a human right, not a luxury. We need to build a province where everyone has the opportunity to have a good life and have a home they can afford. Instead, the person in charge of our province is too busy using his soapbox to belittle vulnerable people. Doug Ford’s heartless comments about people being forced to live on our streets clearly show just how out of touch he is with the reality facing people in Ontario, or how much harder life has become under his watch.

People are losing access to health care, our hospitals are overwhelmed, and his response is telling seniors that they should not go to hospitals, that hospitals are the “worst place in the world” for seniors – those are rich comments coming from the man who broke our health care system.

Our province deserves so much better than that. Our province deserves better than Doug Ford.”
